Terms of Use.

Last updated: 6 June 2026

These terms govern your use of Football for Girlfriends (the "app"), published by Hannah Blair ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

We've kept this plain. Questions: hannahmirandablair@gmail.com.

1. What the app does

Football for Girlfriends helps you learn about football. It gives you AI-generated conversation prompts, daily news digests, a glossary, World Cup explainers, and fantasy football tips. It's an educational and entertainment app — not professional advice.

2. No account needed

The app doesn't require sign-up or login. There are no usernames, no passwords, no profiles tied to a server. Everything personal to you lives only on your device. See the Privacy Policy for the full picture.

3. Subscriptions (Premium)

Most of the app is free. Premium unlocks unlimited AI conversation lines, the full 20-module curriculum, World Cup deep dives, and the fantasy football advisor.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by Apple under their standard App Store refund policy. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We don't process refunds directly because we never see your payment.

Cancellation

Cancel any time in iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions. You'll keep Premium access until the end of the current billing period.

4. AI-generated content

The app uses Anthropic's Claude AI to generate things like daily digests, conversation starters, chat briefs, and fantasy tips.

Be aware: AI-generated text can be wrong, out of date, or just weird. Treat it as a starting point for conversation, not as factual sports analysis. Don't make bets, life decisions, or arguments-with-your-partner you can't undo based purely on something the AI said.

We're not responsible for the accuracy of AI-generated content. We do not endorse specific predictions, opinions, or claims the AI makes about players, teams, or matches.

5. News and third-party content

The app pulls in football headlines from public BBC Sport and Sky Sports RSS feeds, and player photos from Wikipedia. These are owned by their respective publishers, used here under fair-use / public-API terms.

We don't control, verify, or take responsibility for third-party content. If a headline is misleading or a Wikipedia photo is wrong, take that up with the source.

6. Acceptable use

Don't:

If you do any of the above, we may revoke your access (which mostly means: we may disable the AI features on your device by terminating access to our API keys).

7. Intellectual property

The app's design, code, copy, and original content (everything except the third-party stuff in §5) is owned by Hannah Blair. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute it.

Football club names, crests, player names, and similar marks belong to their respective owners. The app uses them for editorial / educational reference under nominative fair use and does not claim affiliation with any club, league, governing body, player, or sponsor.

8. Disclaimers

The app is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee:

Football is a game. Treat the app as a learning aid — not as advice for gambling, employment, relationship decisions, or anything else with real-world stakes.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including (but not limited to) lost data, lost opportunities, or arguments with your partner about who's going to win the Champions League.

Our total aggregate liability to you, for any reason, will not exceed the amount you paid us in the previous 12 months (which for free users is £0).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Children

The app is rated 4+ on the App Store. It contains no inappropriate content. Anyone of any age can use it.

11. Termination

You can stop using the app at any time by deleting it from your device. We may terminate or restrict your access to the app (or specific features) at our discretion, including for breach of these terms.

If a subscription is active when access is terminated, refund eligibility follows Apple's policy (§3).

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will change, and material updates will be flagged in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of England and Wales, unless your country's consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
